A for Andrews!

In fashion, "one day you're in and the next day, you're out", as Heidi Klum loves to repeat throughout her T.V. Show, Project Runway. And, although that saying may be true, we love to focus on the opportunities that the revolving door of fashion has on those who are brave enough to dawn its doors!

Hunter Andrews, a recent graduate of North Carolina State University, has bravely excelled in her fashionable ambitions! She is one of the many exciting designers to share her talents in efforts to support students in Honduras, through Fashion Beyond Borders. Being a student herself, she believes in the vital opportunities that can emerge from education. She has earned a Bachelors of Science in Fashion Textile and Design and has worked hard and contributes her aesthetics with both talent and passion. Her fashion line, The Defining Line, is proportioned for the woman who wants to make subtle statements in a big way! In addition to studying in our beautiful state of North Carolina, Hunter has also experienced the fashion world, globally, through her study abroad travels to Turkey and Greece. Her talent showcases her awareness of the textile world and blends high quality with originality through innovative fabric designs, eye catching silhouettes and vital fabric expressions.

Although she is emerging in her designing career, she already holds an impressive resume of experience, including internships with Stephanie Linner of Charlotte, North Carolina and Alter and Co., in High Point. She has created her own fabrics and showcased her work in several local events, including, Cotton First (2012), NC State University Fashion Week (2013), won honorable mention in the Quintessential Cotton Exhibition (2013), NC State University Non-Woven Competition (2014) and NC State of Fashion (2015). Her skills include Lectra and CAD Pattern Drafting, Hand and computer sketching, Lectra Kaledo Print/KnitTrend Forecasting and Hand Pattern Drafting and Draping.

Hunter Andrews' involvement in Fashion Beyond Borders is beyond kind and is a true testament of her love for fashion and her passion for people. We are so thankful to have her support and we look forward to viewing her creations as they strut down the runway! Be sure you join us on December 10 to view Hunter's collection and participate in changing the lives of children in Honduras!
