Creating Malou Style

Game Cards. Trash Bags. News Papers. These materials are not at all what come to mind when you think of fashion and couture, but those are the exact materials that inspire the designer, Malou Cordery, and capture the attention of the art world and the fashionably obsessed! She has had her work featured and showcased for celebrated efforts, including Foundation for the Carolinas!

Originally born in the Philippines, Malau expresses her heritage and love of creativity in all of her community endeavors, such as her participation in choreography with the FACC (Filipino American Community of the Carolinas) her contributions in the Asian Festival. She won Best Designer for her museum Water Dress in 2014 and is a proud participant for Fashion Beyond Borders and our efforts to make a difference in our world!

At a young age, she was compelled to create, and discovered her designing talent through her efforts to compose traditional Filipino costumes for her daughters to wear during their performances. As a family oriented woman, she enjoys supporting her daughters and uses her creativity and imagination to create unique fashion designs out of unconventional materials. Malou Cordery is a celebrated recyclable fashion designer, a devoted wife, and a loving mother of two, and a true community partner. Her kindness supersedes her talent and we are so thankful to have her support in our efforts to be world changers!

If you have an appetite for originality and ingenuity, then Malou Style is the designer you don't want to miss out on! We know that her unique vision and her artistic expressions will be a crowd pleaser for everyone! Be sure to purchase your tickets for Fashion Beyond Borders and prepare to be impressed on December 10!
